Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions
How do I connect my GitHub repository?
After signing in with GitHub, click 'Add Repository' in your dashboard. Select the repositories you want to track and ReleaseRay will automatically start ingesting PRs and issues via webhooks.
What data does ReleaseRay access?
ReleaseRay only accesses PR and issue metadata (titles, descriptions, labels, authors). We never access your source code. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I generate release notes?
Navigate to your repository, create a release range between two tags, and click 'Generate Draft'. ReleaseRay will use AI to create persona-tailored release notes that you can review and edit before publishing.
Can I customize the AI-generated content?
Yes! All generated content is fully editable. You can modify the text directly in the editor, use AI transformation tools to adjust tone or length, and switch between different persona views.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
Your data is retained for 30 days after cancellation. You can export all your data before cancellation, and you can reactivate your account within the retention period without losing any data.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
Use the email links above - each opens with a pre-filled template. For bugs, include steps to reproduce and any error messages. For features, describe the use case and expected behavior. We review all submissions and respond within 48 hours.
